My name is Denis Kelleher and I am a native of Macroom currently residing in Ballincollig where my office is based.

I was educated in De La Salle College Macroom before attending University College Cork and graduating with a BComm. I then served my apprenticeship in Douglas and qualified as a CPA.

Having subsequently moved to two further practices, including a top ten firm, I have decided to branch out on my own. My wide-ranging experience gained over the last 17 years is listed below.

I am a current playing member of Douglas RFC and am a keen sports fan of GAA, rugby, golf and greyhound racing.

My experience includes the following:

audit manager of the largest manager led team in a top ten firm turning over annual fees of €700,000;
responsible for the control and monitoring of audits while being at the front end of delivering a quality audit service in a timely manner to a broad range of small and medium sized businesses such as R&D companies, service companies, insurance brokers, public houses;
specialist knowledge of the Credit Union sector whether in terms of preparing monthly management accounts, producing yearly projections, auditing year end accounts or providing on site training to colleagues. Additionally, I was involved in specific assignments at the request of the financial regulator;
preparation and presentation of board clearance document to include management letter points, to management, audit and risk committee, board of directors where appropriate;
involved at managerial level in ten public body sector audits which were reported directly to the Comptroller and Auditor General;
preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts together with cashflow and budgets;
provision of knowledge and preparation of ad hoc assignments such as due diligence reports;
preparation of annual accounts in respect of audit exempt companies, partnerships and sole traders;
bookkeeping to include preparation of VAT & PAYE returns;
preparation and submission of Income Tax & Corporation Tax returns;
preparation and submission of company secretarial returns.
